Get Involved

Since 1993, GECO has been fighting to protect the high-value conservation forests in so-called East Gippsland using a combination of direct action and citizen science. There are heaps of ways you can get involved and take action to help protect Victoria's precious forests.

As a landscaper on the beautiful British Columbia I feel obliged to take action as I watch my forests dwindle little by little everyday. That is why I love my job, helping the greenery become more beautiful with and a few summer hobbies out in the bush were my buddies build cabins. We call ourselves the tenders of the garden for a very good reason, and support your call for action. Thank you!

Australia has the fastest extinction rate. We need to keep all the forest possible. If it was up to me…. NO more would go

These logging practices are subscribed by superannuation and banks. Lets go after them. Lets sue them and make them pay for the damage.

How can they sleep at nite these politicians
Maybe if they go and see what their policies do to the environment instead of making laws from their comfy city offices they may see what is at stake .
    They are not voice

Hi – good on you. I am 67 years old and car-less, but on my own place there are about twice as many trees than were here 30 years ago. I have a tiny green footprint with solar power for most uses, except a few bits of machinery, which amount to less than 20l of fuel a month. I ride a tricycle with solar e-power to Bairnsdale twice a month and elsewhere too. Been to Canberra and back a year ago and threw paper plane flyers into the last question time. I think only the security robots read them.

I take my hat off to all of the amazing activists who put their love of the environment above their own creature comforts.
