The Emerald Link - forests, laws and politics

East Gippsland's Emerald Link is a proposal developed by GECO and The Wilderness Society to create a continuous network of protected forests from the Australian alps to East Gippsland coast.

This campaign information session will provide information about the legal cases stopping some of the logging in these forests, the politics causing their destruction, the political opportunities to create the Emerald Link - and what you can do to make it happen.

Hear from legal experts about the Supreme Court case being run to protect East Gippsland's old growth forests. You'll also hear from experienced campaigners about the political work to make the Emerald Link a reality and how you can help in the lead up to the state election.

Get there at 5:30pm grab a drink and be ready for a 6pm start. Hope to see you there.
